Focus

Application Development

Rooted in performance and code but focused on business context, quality and cost, an architect builds only what's necessary for the situation at hand, relying on platform components for everything else:

  • Windows Communication Foundation for secure, fast, interoperable web services connecting applications, devices, customers and partners.
  • IIS, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL for web presence and transactions, targeting broadest reach of devices and platforms. Reliable and secure.

Program Management

High-performance teams can do amazing things. Whether larger or small, local or global, the right program management is the key to success. Past projects:

  • ScrumMaster for onsite teams with offshore resources to build a customer-facing analytics system for real-time market data.
  • Globally distributed teams to deliver time-driven releases of Microsoft Technology Center's Envisioning Center to maximize sales effectiveness
  • Internal teams with external consultants to design and develop portals to optimize business proceses.

System Integration

Using standard protocols and tools, you can connect people with the data and processes they need to do their best work.

  • BizTalk Server for enterprise integration, utilizing adapters and a service oriented architectore to connect to internal and external systems.
Future

The Cloud

It's not a matter of if, but when. I'm working on numerous projects to explore the best use of Windows Azure and Amazon Web Services.

Mobile

What's that in your hand? Chances are, it's more computing power than was on your desktop just a few years ago. I'm designing Android apps to learn what works, and what works well, hoping to put it to business use soon.
